Alex Liebl focuses her practice on trademark matters. She regularly prepares and prosecutes trademark applications, conducts and reviews trademark clearance searches, responds to USPTO Office Actions, and assists with maintaining U.S. and international trademark registrations.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex served as an examining attorney for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for more than a decade. In her role as an examining attorney, she examined trademark applications to determine registrability. Her duties included researching relevant trademark law, comparing marks to determine whether likelihood of confusion or other substantive refusals would be appropriate, conducting searches for confusingly similar marks, compiling and evaluating relevant evidence, drafting and issuing Office Actions and Appeal Briefs before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and collaborating with pro se applicants and trademark attorneys to resolve examination issues.
